BRENDA DAVIDSON | SECRETARY

Brenda brings more than 30 years of experience supporting individuals and families through advocacy, community engagement, and person-centred services. Her commitment to inclusion is rooted in both professional expertise and lived experience, including successfully advocating for academic accommodations alongside her son, with support from Inclusion Alberta and Gateway Association.

Inspired early in her career to challenge segregated and restrictive environments, Brenda pursued post-secondary studies at MacEwan University and has since dedicated her work to advancing inclusive communities. She has held a variety of roles in direct support, employment services, intake coordination, community support, and, for nearly 19 years, as a Community Resource and Evaluations Advisor supporting families across the Edmonton region and beyond.

A lifelong volunteer, Brenda has contributed to numerous community advocacy organizations and was honoured with the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal for her commitment to service. She currently volunteers with First in the Field, Sports Central, Sherbrooke Community League, and Inclusion Edmonton Region.

Outside of her volunteer and professional work, Brenda enjoys folk music, minor hockey, glamping, Edmonton Oil Kings Hockey, and most importantly, spending time with her grandchildren.
